| There is a charter, 26 July 1393, by Archibald, Earl of Douglas, to James de Abernethy, of the lands of Theynside and Harwood, in the barony of Hawick, which belonged to Sir William of Abernethy, younger, brother of the said James, and were resigned by him. James appears to have been succeeded in these lands by his nephew Oswald.3 | ||
