Personal Info
He was imprisoned with his brother in Edinburgh Castle. The brothers were released immediately after the death of James V, and on 18 January 1543 they found caution in the sum of 10,000 merks that they should keep their ward within the burgh of Edinburgh and two miles thereabout. Five years, however, of close imprisonment in a fortress had proved too great a strain on his constitution, and he died shortly after his release.3
