He seems to have been a captain in the Dutch service. He died unmarried very shortly before his father, for he was alive 27 August 1664, when he appears as his father's attorney, and he was a witness to a contract of marriage, 14 December 1664, between Alexr. Bruce of Kinnaird and Helen, daughter of the deceased Robert Bruce of Clackmannan.4
