| He received from King William the Lion the lands of Purin, Ogguluin and Kinminethen, now Powrie, Ogilvie, and Kilmundie, all in Forfarshire. The charter is dated between 1172 and 1177, is granted to Gilbert, son of the Earl of Angus, and from him are descended the Ogilvies of that Ilk, Airlie with its cadets, and Inverquharity.2 | ||
