A lady of great personal beauty and accomplishments. It was on her behalf that the Grants made their celebrated raid on Elgin in 1820, the last raid made by a Highland clan. George IV, when he saw her in 1822, remarked, "Well, truly, she is an object fit to raise the chivalry of a clan." She died unmarried.6
