Personal Info
She died unmarried.5
She and her twin sister, Margaret, were the recipients of Latin verses made in their honour by the famous Dr. Archibald Pitcairn, who was the family physician. They lived in a house at the head of the Canongate, having its entrance from St. Mary's Wynd. There it is said they drew out their innocent retired lives, one of their favourite amusements being to make dolls and little beds for them to lie on.6
