in his father's lifetime one of the hostages for the release of David II by treaty 13 July 1354. He was again a hostage on 16 August 1357, and in the treaty concluded 3 October of the same year. On 27 June 1371 he had a charter from Robert II of half the barony of Manuel, in Stirlingshire, to himself and Katherine, his wife, on the resignation of Christian Crousar.' He appears to have granted, on 3 July 1386, 'a charter anent the foundation of a chappellanry of Sanct Michalis chapell of Cambusnethen'.7
