| In 1769 he succeeded his cousin-german. Sir George Seton, third Baronet (attainted 1716), in the heraldic honours of heir-male of the house of Seton. His means were small, and for the last eleven years of his life he received an allowance made up by the connections of the family. He died, without issue, at Newcastle-on-Tyne, and was buried at St. Andrew's Church there 31 December 1782. The entry in the burial register describes him as 'Ralph Seton, commonly called Lord Seton (representative of George Seton, Earl of Winton, attainted in 1715), aged eighty.'6 | ||
