He had a charter from King Robert i. to him and Susanna, liis wife, of the lands of Loudoun and Steveustoun, in Cunningham, to be held in one entire and free barony by them and the heirs procreated betwixt them, whom failing, to the said Susanna and her nearest heirs, dated at Pennycook 4 January 1317-18. He also held the heritable sheriffship of Ayrshire in right of his wife.5
